On March 02, 2021 the Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, outstanding Austrian cardio surgeon, one of the founders of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and its President for several decades Felix Unger is marking his 85th anniversary.
The Presidium and President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli are congratulating the eminent scientist on his jubilee and wish further success in his work. The Letter of Greetings, in particular, runs: “The world renowned cardiologist who performed the first artificial heart transplantation in Europe, you have headed the University Clinic for Cardiac Surgery in Salzburg. Being a Member of the Academies of Sciences in Germany, Latvia, Slovenia, Serbia and other countries and are also a holder of numerous Austrian and international professional and state orders and awards.
The great European scientist and brilliant organizer of medical science you have been one of the founders of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and its President for many years.
