THE SONG THAT CONNECTS HEARTS: MOSCOW (RUSSIA) – BARILOCHE (ARGENTINA) CHORAL TV BRIDGE

On November 17, 2019 at 17.00 as part of the Days of Russia in Bariloche in the Apple Hall of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts (19 Prechistenka street, Moscow) there will be a concert “The Song that Connects Hearts” where choirs in various continents will perform together the oratorio of Metropolitan Hilarion “We sing to You”. The concert will be simultaneously broadcast in Russia and Argentina as a video bridge between San Carlos de Bariloche (Argentina, Rio Negro Province) and Moscow (Russia).

The video bridge will also include a presentation of the recent sculptural composition by the People’s Artist of Russia, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli which is planned to be placed in Argentina.

The participants of the “The Song that Connects Hearts” project are the choirs “Rejoice” and “Choral Melipal” in Argentina under the direction of Olga Lyudkova and the consolidated choir of spiritual music laureates “Chrystal Chapel” directed by Olga Kosiborod.

In the concert which will precede the video bridge will perform: the Patriarch Alexis II Moscow Male Choir under the direction of Mickhail Kotelnikov, the Choir of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics directed by Olga Ushakova, Female Choir of Alfred Schnittke Music College under the direction of Alexandra Tsimbalova, the Choir Ensemble NAIDIMUSIC under the direction of Maria Naidina.

The Project has been organized under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Arts, Embassy of Argentina in Russia, Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Bariloche, Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Center for Sciences and Culture in Argentina, Honorary City Council of Bariloche, Offices of Culture and Tourism of Bariloche and Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation, the Headman of the Church of Royal Passion Bearers of the Russian Orthodox Church in Mar-del-Plata (Argentina), architect of Yury N. Kuznetsov. The first such TV bridge took place in 2016.
