The Russian Academy Of Arts

On March 06, 2019 the Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay as part of her working visit to Russia visited the Russian Academy of Arts and had a meeting with the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli who presented her with the regalia of the Honorary Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Mrs. Azoulay visited the exposition of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts and Tsereteli Art Gallery and highly appreciated the scope and depth of the creative work by the world renowned artist.

Later, there was also a meeting with the active members of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO – federal ministers, leading figures of science education, culture and art. Among the participants of the event were: Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation M.E. Shvydkoy; Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center Mechtild Rossler; Executive Secretary of the Commission for UNESCO, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts G. E. Ordzhonikidze; Permanent Representative of the RF for UNESCO A.I. Kuznetsov; Chairman of the Commission for Culture and Mass Communications of the Moscow City Duma, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts E.V. Gerasimov; President of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.M. Sergeev; Director-General of the State Hermitage, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts M.B. Piotrovsky; Director-General of the State Historical and Cultural Preserve “The Moscow Kremlin”, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts E.Y.
