In Honor of the 80th Anniversary of the Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Fine Arts Arnaud d’Hauterives.
On February 26, 2013 in Paris there was a ceremony in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Fine Arts Arnaud d’Hauterives attended by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli and members of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Zurab Tsereteli presented Arnaud d’Hauterives with the Order of the Russian Academy of Arts “For Services to Art” and the Academy’s letter of greetings. A distinguished figure of world culture and renowned French painter whose works are in museum collections and have been exhibited in the USSR, USA, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, China, Japan and many other countries, Arnaud d’Hauterives is a holder of major French orders and awards.
The Russian Academy of Arts has been maintaining long standing creative ties with the French Academy of Fine Arts and highly appreciates the significant role of French artists in the development of the Imperial Academy of Arts in Russia. In 2008, the Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Fine Arts Arnaud d’Hauterives was awarded the prestigious Russian Order of Friendship for his big contribution to the promotion of a cultural dialogue between Russia and France.
