The Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Deputy Head of Architecture and Town-Planning Committee of Moscow, Chief Designer of Moscow Igor Voskresensky is a leading specialist in the aesthetic formation of the city environment and landscape architecture.
As the Chief Designer of Moscow, Igor Voskresensky is responsible for beautification of the city, including color design, landscape gardening, lighting of buildings, placement of works of monumental art. He told the students of the architecture department of V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute about the specific character of work of a landscape architect and city designer and shared his recent experience in the project of Meschersky Park in Solntsevo that involved a lot of ecological and geological studies and included many innovative ideas of the park layout.
Igor Voskresensky has also showed his works in monumental sculpture created by him as an architect in co-authorship with noted sculptors such as Alexander Rukavishnikov, Salavat Scherbakov and others.
This meeting with students of the architecture department of V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute has been held within a series of masterclasses by leading architects- members of the Russian Academy of Arts.
