Bronze Bust of the Ballet Dancer Natalia Dudinskaya by People’s Artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Grigori Yastrebenetski Will Be Unveiled in St. Petersburg

     The bronze bust of the ballet dancer Natalia Dudinskaya (1912-2003)  by People’s Artist of Russia and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts  Grigori Yastrebenetski will be dedicated on the campus of the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions (15 Fuchika street) on September 1, 2007.  Since 1995 Natalia Dudinskaya has been an Honorary Doctor of the above University.
     On August 21, 2007 there was the 95th   birth anniversary of the great Russian Ballet dancer.
    She studied under Agripina Vaganova at the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Choreographic School which she graduated from in 1931. For thirty three years Natalia Dudinskaya was a prima ballerina of the Maryinsky (former Kirov) Theatre in St. Petersburg. A favorite disciple of the celebrated Agripina Vaganova, she took over her  methods of teaching  classical ballet dancing. Today,  Dudinskaya’s students are prima ballerinas of the Maryinsky Ballet Company and work for  European, American and Asian ballet companies.
