The Launch of the 173-d Moscow Subway Station by the Day of Moscow

By the Day of Moscow will be launched the “Trubnaya” Moscow subway station. The finishing work is being completed. The station décor is dedicated to the city of Moscow and towns of the Golden Ring around Moscow that are well-known Russian tourists attractions – Rostov the Great, Pereslavl- Zalesski, Sergiev Posad and others. Zurab Tsereteli, President of the Russian Academy of Arts has been actively involved in the station design and executed two enamel panels, eight stained glasses, benches and chandeliers. It is not the first experience of the artist in the interior design of subway stations in Moscow. The “Dubrovka” station is adorned by his stained glasses. Tsereteli’s mosaics and enamels can be seen on the walls of “Petrovsko-Razumovskaya” and “Victory Park” stations.
