The Honored Artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, one of the leading sculptors of today's Russia and native of Zabaikal Krai Dashi Namdakov presented his solo exhibition in Chita showcasing his 29 easel sculptures and decorative art.

The retrospective is the second display of the master's works in his native land and   a good opportunity to see his works created in the period fr om 1998 to 2020: these are  sculptures of warriors, horsemen, graceful girls, Buddhist lamas, animals typical for Asian steppes, topics related to Cham mystery. The centerpieces  revealing the style of Namdakov are "Genghis Khan", "Archer", "Old Warrior", "The Queen", "Fairy Tale", "Rider". The symbolic, full of expression composition "The Element" in the form of a figure flying in rapid gallop of a horse has already become classic in his work. Among his decorative works of big interest are dolls in national dresses executed according to Dashi Namdakov's sketches by his brothers and sisters.  

Dashi Namdakov was born on February 14, 1967 in the village of Ukurik of Chita Region, graduated from the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute (1993) wh ere he majored in sculpture. He is a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (since 2011), Honored Artist of Russia, frequent exhibitor of regional, All-Russian and international art shows. More than 20 solo exhibitions of Dashi Namdakov took place in major museums and exhibition halls worldwide. His works are in many museum of Russia and other countries.
