FROM FAIRY TALE TO FAIRY TALE: EXHIBITION PROJECT OF TATYANA KOCHEMASOVA IN S. KONENKOV MUSEUM

Sergey Konenkov Memorial Museum-Studio presents an exhibition project of the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, PhD in Art History Tatyana Kochemasova. Entitled Fr om Fairy Tale to Fairy Tale, it features more than 50 works by Tatyana Kochemasova including her paintings, graphic sheets, ceramics, glassworks, as well as sculptures and drawings of the renowned sculptor Sergey Konenkov from the Museum funds and depositors dedicated to the theme of fairy tales. The folk tales of Russia and tales from around the world are distinguished by special expressiveness, deep symbolism and subtle philosophy of life, affirmation of the unity between the natural and human worlds.

 

Being in the unique space of the Museum's permanent exposition, the works by Tatyana Kochemasova have been conceived to enter into a dialogue with fabulous images in the work of the Academician of the USSR Academy of Arts Sergey Konenkov. It is on the principle of a dialogue with the great master that exhibition projects of contemporary artists held in the Museum are designed.

 

Refracting and synthesizing the motifs of neo-national art -"fusion of worlds wh ere there is a part of universal soul", Tatyana Kochemasova creates her own world in the typical for her creative method of decorative palette and open color combinations. All her canvases have been executed in this key with a special emphasis on the symbolic interpretation and imagination which are full of the fabulous atmosphere.
