GOROKHOVETS – A LIVING LEGEND: EXHIBITION OF THE ACADEMICIAN OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS VERONIKA BUBELA-MASLOVA

The Russian Academy of Arts presents a traveling exhibition project of the Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Veronika Bubela-Maslova dedicated to the 850th anniversary of the city of Gorokhovets. In 2017 the project was successfully shown in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, in 2018 – in the Embassy of Chile in Moscow and Art Gallery in Schelkovo (Moscow Region).  

The exhibition including canvases and more than 100 photographs depicts the atmosphere of Gorokhovets, an ancient Russian city which can rightly be considered an open-air museum. The artist conveys the beauty of the Russian land and tries to capture the idyll that has always been the hallmark of the city.  

Veronika Bubela-Maslova was born in Vladivostok on June 19, 1980. In 2006 she graduated fr om the Far East Academy of Arts wh ere she studied under the  Honored Artist of Russia Veniamin Goncharenko. Veronika Bubela-Maslova  annually participates in international projects, regional, All-Russian exhibitions and is actively involved in teaching activity. Her works are in collections of state and private museums and galleries in Russia, France, Germany, United States, China, Korea, Japan.

Along with her creative activity she is an assistant to the Member of the Federation Council of Russia Z.F. Dragunkina, chief advisor for culture to the Head of the Administration of the Gorokhovets Region.
