The Russian Academy Of Arts

Organized by the Culture Department of the Yaroslavl Region and the Russian Academy of Arts the solo show at the Rybinsk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Preserve presents 50 paintings, sculptures, bronze reliefs, easel enamels of the People’ Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli.

This year the State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Preserve founded in 1910 is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The core of the Museum was art collections from the local estates. In the 1920-1930s it was enriched by collections of the Moscow and other local museums. At present, the Museum houses a vast collection of the 16th – 20th century western art, Russian painting, drawings, decorative and applied arts of the 18th-20th century, as well as the Russian religious and folk art, archive documents of the Mikhalkovs’ Likhachevs’, Musin-Pushkins’ estates and an archaeological fund.
