The Award Named After V.I. Burakovsky Was Presented to the President of the Russian Academy of Arts

On November 28, 2016 at the opening of the XXII All-Russian Congress of Cardiovascular Surgeons the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli was presented with the Prize named after the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.I. Burakovsky for the implementation of the Project of Active Involvement of Children with Congenital Heart Defects in the Creative Process at the Stage of Postoperative Recovery in A. Bakulev Research Center of Cardiovascular Surgery.
Zurab Tsereteli is well-known for his charitable activity including his weekly charitable master classes in painting for physically challenged children, children in need and children fr om orphan asylums, wh ere the master shares his experience and teaches the young artists the basics of painting and composition. He strongly believes in the efficiency of art therapy and helps children to sense the magic of art.
