On October 19, 2016 at the Russian Academy of Arts there was a panel discussion “Methods and Practice of Teaching Scenography and Craftsmanship of Cinema and TV Artists in Russian Educational Entities. The Results of the Academic year 2015-2016” organized by the Department of Theatrical and Cinema Decorative Art of the Russian Academy of Arts.

It has been the fifth round table on problems of education organized by the Department of Theatrical and Cinema Decorative Art. The discussion was chaired by its Academician-Secretary Boris Messerer. It has been noted, that such panel discussions at the Russian Academy of Arts are a good opportunity to share the experience in the decorative art education and that all professional institutions in theatrical and cinema decorative art preserved and developed their teaching traditions taking into account new computer programs and digital technologies. The Panel Discussion was accompanied by the display of diploma works and video materials.
