BYZANTIUM.RU: Research and Enlightenment Creative Forum in Honor of the 1000th Anniversary of the Assumption of St. Prince Vladimir Equal to the Apostle

The Russian Academy of Arts, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the National Museum-Preserve “Chersonesus Tauric” invite you to attend the Research and Enlightenment Creative Forum “BYZANTIUM.RU” in honor of the 1000th anniversary of the assumption of St. Prince Vladimir Equal to the Apostle  that will take place on the territory of the ancient Chersonesus on July 24 – August 15, 2015.

The main goal of the Forum “Byzantium.Ru” is a creation of a new space open to a dialogue of various generations. In the conditions of secularization, disunity of the modern world and interfaith conflicts the Forum is obtaining a special urgency as it suits the idea of unification and enlightenment in the context of inter-Christian dialogue and cooperation of nations united by the traditions of the Christian culture. The Forum’s participants (more than 100 participants) are professional artists, musicians, film makers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Greece, Serbia.

The Forum has been organized under the auspices of the Administration of the Russian President, the Government of Sevastopol, the Moscow Patriarchate, the Simferopol and Crimean Diocese.

Tatyana Yashaeva – Honored Worker of Culture, Head of the Medieval Art Department of the National Preserve “Chersonesus Tauric”
  
The major events of the Forum are the “Byzantium.Ru” exhibition (July 26 – August 15, 2015) and International Research Conference “The Second St. Vladimir Readings” to be held on July 24-29, 2015.
