The Princess Olga Kulikovskaya-Romanova Visited Tobolsk

The descendants of the Romanov family visited Tobolsk where the last Russian Emperor’s family was in exile fr om August 1917 till April 1918. They were accompanied by the Princess Olga Kulikovskaya-Romanova – widow of Tikhon Nickolaevich Kulikovsky-Romanov – the nephew of Nicholas II and grandson of Alexander III. The Princess Olga Kulikovskaya-Romanova is a noted Russian public figure, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Member of the Writers’ Union of Russia, Chairman of the Charitable Foundation named after Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna.

In Tobolsk they visited St. Sophia Assumption Cathedral, the Governor’s Palace, met with the Head of the Tobolsk Administration Vladimir Mazur, as well as visited the exhibition “The Siberia under the Auspices of the Romanov House”. In 2013 in honor of the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty due to the efforts of Olga Kulikovskaya- Romanova in Tobolsk there was organized an exhibition “The Majestic Artist” wh ere the viewers could see water colors and personal possessions of the Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna Romanova – the younger daughter of the Emperor Alexander III and sister of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II.

All the members of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II’s family were murdered  at the Ipatiev House in Ekaterinburg at the night of July 16/17, 1918.
