In France Was Unveiled a Monument to Marshal George Zhukov

On June 19, 2015 in the French Musee de la Reddition in Reims there was unveiled a monument to Marshal George Zhukov created by the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Andrey Tyrtyshnikov. It was presented as a gift to the French Musee de la Reddition from the Russian Military and Historic Society. The ceremony was attended by the Director of the State History Museum Alexey Levykin. The ceremony has been timed to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. George Zhukov played the most significant role in leading the Red Army to the victory over fascist invaders and is the most decorated marshal in the history of the USSR and Russia.
