The Russian Academy of Arts Congratulates the People’s Artist of Russia Nickolai Mukhin on his 60th Anniversary



The President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Presidium and the Creative Team of the Russian Academy of Arts have congratulated the world renowned artist, People’s Artist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Member of the President’s Council for Culture and Art (2001-2011), founder and head of the Yaroslavl Icon school on his 60th jubilee and wished him good health, prosperity and implementation of his creative ideas.

Nickolai Mukhin is marking his jubilee in the prime of his life. In whatever type of fine arts the master has worked, his artworks prove his extraordinary talent and devotion to art. For his great contribution to the rebirth of the interior decoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow the artist was awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts, his works were appreciated by Orders of St. Luke, Sergey of Radonezh, Andrey Rublev and other awards of the Patriarchate. His name is well known in Russia, Serbia, Croatia, Malta, Japan, U.S.A, Azerbaijan and many other countries where the artist was involved in the reconstruction and wall painting of Orthodox cathedrals, churches and chapels. The great master of icon painting he is a creator of many iconostases.    
  
The artist’s works are in collections of major museums in Russia, as well as private collections in many countries.
