Presentation of E. Zverkov Museum of Landscape in Tver


On May 16, 2015  in Tver in the old house in Pushkin street at E. Zverkov Museum of Landscape there was a cultural action “Night at the Museum”. The action was opened by the Museum’s Director N.I. Guseva who thanked all those involved in the establishment of the Museum of Landscape in Tver.

The Deputy Chairman of the Tver City Duma V.B. Rybachuk told about the tasks and goals of the Museum. The Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Doctor of Art History Lyubov Shirshova, the widow of Efrem Zverkov, specified the future exhibits of the Museum. The Director of A. Venetsianov Tver Regional Art College N.G. Sirotina and Professor of the Tver University, Doctor of Biology A.V. Zinoviev shared their visions of the peculiarities of landscape painting.

The presentation was accompanied by a film about  Efrem Zverkov (1921-2012), People’s Artist of the USSR, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Winner of the State Prizes, Honorary Citizen of the Tver Region, participant of the Great Patriotic War. The Museum of Landscape has been named after this distinguished master of landscape painting and a native of the Tver land.
