Solo Show of Works by Zurab Tsereteli in Zvenigorod

The Zvenigorod State History, Architecture and Art Museum presents a solo show of works by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli. On display in the Tsarina’s Chambers of the Savvin-Storozhevsky Monastery are the artist’s works on the Biblical topics.

These are several dozens of enamels, reliefs, easel sculptures that perfectly fit the chamber atmosphere of the old Monastery’s halls decorated with stained glass windows and stoves covered with ornamental tiles. The opening ceremony has been attended by the Archimandrite Ieronimus, the Head of the Savvin-Storozhevsky Monastery in 1995-1997 and now a Dean of the Cathedral of Assumption of the Mother of God in Gorodok.

The exhibition in Zvenigorod features one of the main themes of Zurab Tsereteli’s creative work which has been executed by the master in various types of fine arts. Photoreport
