Award Ceremony Held in the Russian Academy of Arts

     Russian and foreign artists accepted medals and diplomas of the Russian Academy of Arts at the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts on November 27, 2007.
     Adreas  Kharalambus, a celebrated painter and theatrical artist from Cyprus, has been elected an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He graduated from V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute in 1975. Adreas Kharalambus is a designer of theatrical costumes and performances. The artist is a frequent participant of numerous solo- and group exhibitions in Cyprus and in many other countries.
     Among those who accepted the Academy awards there were sculptors and masters of metal artworks involved in the first international exhibition  of artists working in forged metal. Held in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (25 Petrovka street) in 2007, it was an unparalleled opportunity to experience over 50  finest works by smiths from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania.
