Awards to Alumni of the Russian Academy of Arts

     On October 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the state exhibition hall “New Manezh” (3/3 Georgievski lane, Moscow) will be held a session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts and a ceremony of presenting awards to participants of the “Academic ART School” exhibition (painting, graphic art, sculpture, theatrical and monumental art) who are graduates of V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art  Institute and I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
     The exhibition is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts and is one of the jubilee events of special significance as training of artists of high professional level has been the principle goal of the Russian Academy of Arts throughout its history. The exposition enables the visitor to see the entire diversity of artistic searches and creative experiments of young artists.  
     The ceremony will be attended by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, the Academy’s Chief Scientific Secretary Michael Kurilko-Ryumin; head of  V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute and Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts  Anatoli Bichukov; head of  I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Albert Charkin; members of the Presidium and teachers of the above art educational entities.
