Series of the Programm "Academia" on TV-channel "Culture"

On December, 5, 2006 the show of the serial of the cycle of programs “Academia”, dedicated to the 250-th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts took place on the TV-channel “Culture”. The narrator was the merited artist of Russian Federation Ivan Uralov.

   The serial narrates the history of creation of the famous monuments of Saint-Petersburg – to Peter the Great and to commander A.Suvorov, executed by the outstanding sculptors E.-M.Falcone and M.Kozlovsky. The program introduced the art of the painter of the XIX century F.Alexeev and the artist of XX century A.Shmarinov – landscape painters, members of the Academy of Arts. The creation of the architectural masterpiece – Tavrichesky Palace by I.Starov became one of the most interesting pages in the history of Russian art.
