The Final Exhibition of the International Project of Alex Doll “In the Footsteps of Alexander Suvorov in Switzerland”

On February 29, 2016 in the Gallery of the Beyeler Collection Foundation in Pratteln (Canton Basel-Land) there was an opening of the exhibition of the Russian-Swiss artist Alex Doll completing the international exhibition project “In the Footsteps of Alexander Suvorov in Switzerland”. The exhibition is being held under the auspices of the Russian Embassy in Switzerland and the Russian Academy of Arts within the program of events in honor of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Switzerland.

For two years the project has been exhibited in museums of Switzerland and Russia – the National Museum of Saint-Gothard, Municipal Museum of Payerne,  A.V. Suvorov Museum in Linthal, Ravelino Gallery in Locarno, A.V. Suvorov Museum in Konchanskoye, Museum “The Boat of Peter I” in Pereslavl-Zalessky, Museum of the Vologda Kremlin, Orenburg Governor’s Museum, Sverdlovsk Regional  Museum, A.V. Suvorov State Memorial Museum in St. Petersburg, A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications in St. Petersburg, Expo 2015 in Milan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the owner of the Gallery Hermann Alexander Beyeler, Director of the National Museum of Lichtenstein Reiner Vollkommer, the spouse of the Governor of the Orenburg Region L.F. Berg, representatives of the Russian Embassy in Switzerland, the Mayor of Pratteln Beat Stingelin, Head of the Military, Historical and Archives Service of the Defense Ministry of Switzerland  J. Stussy-Lauterburg, Russian diplomats and compatriots.
