On June 9, 2015 Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (Istanbul) presents in Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center a solo show of works by the People’s Artist of the USSR and Russia, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli.

On display are over 120 paintings, graphic works, sculptures, enamels produced by the master in recent years. The first acquaintance of Turkish viewers with Tsereteli’s art works took place in 2005. This exhibition is part of the Russian-Turkish strengthening cultural cooperation that includes joint conferences, charitable actions, master classes. Zurab Tsereteli gave a master class in painting to winners of the All-Russian Children’s Drawing Competition for physically challenged children “Colors of the Orient: Russian children paint Turkey”. The competition was organized in partnership with the Director of the Turkish-Russian Cultural Foundation E.A. Turkeli.

Zurab Tsereteli is an artist of multi-sided talent who actively works and experiments in various types and genres of fine arts paying tribute to the traditions of European classic and Oriental art. Through the power of imagination and his creative energy Zurab Tsereteli creates his own worlds and extraordinary spaces introducing characters in them.
