The Vologda Regional Picture Gallery hosts a solo show of the People’s Artist of Russia, Academician and Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoly Lyubavin presenting more than one hundred paintings and graphic works created by the artist in various years.
The work by Anatoly Lyubavin bases on high spiritual ideals, unshakable moral values of Russian culture, the cult of family relations and harmony of the existence. In his pictures and drawings the artist confronts his viewers with complex issues of the present and tries to find a peaceful solution through an inner dialogue of his characters. The audience is enchanted by the beauty of ordinary things, the harmony of light and color intermingled with the melodious line of his drawing. His paintings and graphic works are similar to the minor chamber music depicting the creative transformation of the reality – a dream.
