Lost in the Paradise: Solo Show of the Italian Artist Paolo Ciabattini

03 June 2014 – 29 June 2014

The Russian Academy of Arts in partnership with the Fine Art Gallery presents a solo show of the Italian artist, designer, architect Paolo Ciabattini. The exhibition entitled Lost in the Paradise features more than 50 abstract canvases, mostly monochrome with various tonal gradation of color enabling the artist to give his works additional interpretations.

Paolo Ciabattini was born in Milan, where he lives and works. The project is aimed at inviting a viewer into his original world of art. The artist as well as his viewers lives in the time of globalization, in the consumption society with its material symbols of success and well-being. What is the measure of value of the brush’s move on a canvas, the birth of a color and picture? For Paolo it is the life itself, passion, felicity which he wants to share with his viewers who absorbed in the space of his exhibition would experience the similar feelings and at least for some time turn away from the material world. We usually compare the state of happiness and felicity with paradise having in mind the paradise not in the religious, but emotional and sensitive perception. Lost in the paradise – this is the way the artist sees the state of a man in the space of art whether he is a creator or a viewer.
