- "Forever and the Earth” : an exhibition in the S.T.Konenkov Memorial Museum-Studio .

From February 22 to March 22 The S.T.Konenkov Memorial Museum-Studio presents an exhibition of Israeli photo artist Dina Bova "Forever and the Earth." Exhibition is supported by the Israeli cultural center in Moscow, at the Embassy of Israel.

Dina Bova - is one of the brightest representatives of symbolic and philosophical art-photography. Her artworks continue the tradition of the world's best photography and classic surrealism, but they also introduce completely new forms of visual and symbolic categories.
No wonder her works have gained such incredible appreciation and so many awards in prestigious contests worldwide, such as:
• Grand-Prix in “Professional Women Photographers 2012”, New-York
• Grand-Prix in “Donkey-Art prize 2011”, Italy
• Gold author title in Aqüeducte biennial 2010, Barcelona
• Winner in “World in focus 2010” - Photo District News (PDN), USA
• Award winner in contests Nikon 2008-2009, Sony2009-2010, Hasselblad 2011, IPA(2010-2012), Spyder Awards 2011, Asahi Shimbun 2010 (Japan)
• Total over 350 awards in 25 countries, among which 57 medals of international photography associations (FIAP, PSA, ISF…)

In her works Dina is boldly experimenting with photography, making complex figurative compositions. She has managed to create a unique graphic language of metaphors that makes it possible to express the most subtle shades of emotion and meaning. Her works are often provocative and at the same time full of drama. Each of her artworks is an original story, a parable, a profound philosophy about the world, as well as a strong emotional outburst and imaginative insight. Often her characters, full of tragedy and loneliness, serve as guides, taking the spectators into the endless and mysterious world.

She takes her inspiration from many sources, such as allegories, parables and Bible texts. They inspire her with their mysticism and philosophy. It does not attempt to illustrate biblical stories. Their philosophical aspect triggers her improvisation. Allegory is a very ancient genre, used by artists in different times. But today, our understanding of some even well-known allegories has changed. They often overfilled with pathos and edification. Dina uses allegories as a way to express her understanding of the modern world and talk about what's really important to her today, sometimes with some sense of irony. Her world of allegories and intuitive characters helps us look into to the deepest corners of ours souls and ask ourselves some tough existential questions: Who are we? Why did we come into this world? What is beauty? How to preserve our uniqueness? - There’s no definitive and clear-cut answers or ready-made recipes. These are the questions everyone has to find his own answers...
