Major Solo Show of Paintings by Vasily Nesterenko in Tsaritsyno

The large part of the Grand Palace in the Museum-Preserve “Tsaritsyno” in Moscow features a retrospective of paintings by Vasily Nesterenko, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. The artist is a world recognized master of painting known for his canvases devoted to the history of Russia, its monuments of architecture, people and nature.

After graduating from V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute Vasily Nesterenko continued his art education in the United States. Today, he is the youngest holder of the title “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation” and works as a Member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts.

For the last decade his solo shows have been held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State History Museum, Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, Central Armed Forces Museum, Museum of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, New Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, exhibition center “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman”, as well as in France and many other countries.

His works are in collections of major Russian museums and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
