Mukhadin Kishev’s interest in the culture of the Orient, his devotion to the rich art traditions of his native Kabardin-Balkaria and adoption of contemporary western stylistic trends have much influenced the development of his pictorial language combining the reality and abstraction. In the late 1990-s for several years he worked in London at the invitation of the famous Chisenhale Art Place, then in workshops in the south of Spain. The artist’s creative work distinguished by an inner freedom and perfect artistry is an extraordinary alloy of various styles and techniques. In the 1980s, Kishev created his own technique of monotyping which has followers in many countries. In his works the artist shows preference to an open, rich coloring that reveals his admiration of the beauty of the surrounding world.

The artist works by series diverse in themes, images and media. He depicts both events happening in today’s world, problems of ecology, preservation of nature and everyday topics from the life of ordinary people.

An integral part of Mukhadin Kishev’s active life position is his charitable activity providing him a possibility to help young gifted artists and veterans, to arrange exhibitions and auctions, present gifts to schools and orphan asylums.

Mukhadin Kishev is an artist who won an international recognition through numerous group and solo exhibitions in various European countries. Last month of big success were his major solo show in the center for Russian culture in London “Pushkin House” and his exhibition in Seville, Spain.
