Russia – Connection of Times: Solo Show of the People’s Artist of Russia Vasily Nesterenko in the “Manezh” Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow
The Moscow Government, the Russian Academy of Arts, Vasily Nesterenko Moscow State Picture Gallery and the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall present a solo show of paintings by the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasily Nesterenko. The title of the exhibition “Russia – Connection of Times” is not accidental, as the topic of Russian history and nature takes a special place in the artist’s creative work.
This is the second solo show of Vasily Nesterenko in the Moscow “Manezh” that includes both recent and well-known works by this noted master of the Russian contemporary painting. Among them there are many big canvases, a series devoted to the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin, dozens of his latest paintings that are a core of his personal museum.
Vasily Nesterenko’s canvases are in collections of the State Tretykov Gallery, the State History Museum, the Central Armed Forces Museum, Museum of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and other museums and art galleries in Russia and other countries.
