Exhibition of Works by Graduates and Trainees of the Academy’s Creative Workshops in Krasnoyarsk

The show in the exhibition halls of the Urals, Siberia and Far East Regional Department in Krasnoyarsk features over one hundred works by graduates and trainees of the Krasnoyarsk Creative Workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts. The Creative Workshops in Krasnoyarsk were set up in 1987.

Young artists, who are graduates of art institutions having proved themselves in independent creative work, mostly from the region of the Urals, Siberia and Far East upgrade their skills in the Creative Workshops during a three-year course of study. Trainees of the Creative Workshops are equal in their status to postgraduate students in other fields of education. Upon graduation from the Creative Workshops they obtain a degree of an artist of a higher qualification. The heads of the Creative Workshops in Krasnoyarsk are: People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoli Levitin (Painting Workshop); People’s Artist of the Russian Federation and Kabardin-Balkaria, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts German Pashtov (Graphic Art Workshop); Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Valentin Sveshnikov (Sculpture).

On show are paintings, sculptures and graphic art by Lyudmila Ivanova-Vladimirova, Natalya Davydova, Tatyana Kuzmina, Yulia Potapova, Tatyana, Elena Korovina, Elena Likhatskaya and Anastasia Zykina.
