The Russian Academy Of Arts

The exhibition at the Urals, Siberia and Far East regional department of the Russian Academy of Arts in Krasnoyarsk provides a grand-scale survey of the Russian graphic art of 1980-2010.  On display are over 170 works by recognized masters and young graphic artists and painters from all the regions of Russia.

 

This is the first major show of graphic works in Krasnoyarsk presenting a variety of graphic techniques including drawings in different pencils, charcoal, sanguine, pastel, water colors, sepias and also etchings, lithographs, colored prints, woodcuts, linocuts. It is a good opportunity to see trace the searches for a new representational language for the last three decades: mixture of techniques, a combination of wet techniques with dry ones, unusual forms of graphic art on paper and cardboard, use of new technical possibilities for production of prints.
