Graphic Works by Olga Tuchina in the Exhibition Halls of the Russian Academy of Arts

On show at the Russian Academy of Arts are etchings, lithographs and pastels by Olga Tuchina from the 1980s till 2009. In 2008 Olga Tuchina was awarded a silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for a series of color etchings.  

 

After graduating from V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute in 1983, she perfected her skills in the creative workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts    under Orest Vereisky, recognized master of graphic art.

 

Olga Tuchina is best known for her color etchings. Her graphic works are distinguished by refinement of color and skilful detailed compositions. Many of them are devoted to the history and present day of her beloved Moscow where she was born. Among her other favorite topics are Russian estates, Russian  monasteries, Russian Orthodox Church.
