The retrospective of works by Boris Nemensky, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, winner of State Prizes of the USSR and RF, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor includes the artist’s paintings from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery and private collections.

The creative work by Boris Nemensky belongs to the classic of Russian Fine Arts. Among paintings created in various years visitors will see his well-known cycles and canvases “Parable about Dissent”,  “Here is Your Son”, “In Search of Truth”, “Other People’s Lives”, as well as his lyric landscapes. Boris Nemensky has made a series of portraits of our contemporaries, of special interest is his cycle “Generation” devoted to his pupils.

For  over 50 years Boris Nemensky has been involved in teaching. At present he is a Professor of the Art Faculty of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and heads a Center for Continuing Art Education of the Moscow Department of Education. The master actively works with teachers of comprehensive schools, efficiently introduces new teaching programs and methods, he is an author of many textbooks on art.

Paintings by Boris Nemensky are in collections of major museums in Russia, CIS countries and private collections.
