Display of Canvases by Oscar Kacharov in the Russian Academy of Arts

The Russian Academy of Arts presents a retrospective exhibition of works by the noted Moscow painter Oscar Kacharov (1924-2007) in its exhibition halls, 21 Prechistenka street, Moscow.

The exposition gives an idea of the peculiarity of the artist’s figurative and plastic thinking. Being a master of academic school,  Kacharov has avoided stereotypes and followed his own path in fine arts.

His canvases are complicated and associative, they lack a descriptive credibility. We see recognizable real forms, but they are not photographic as the artist uses elements of abstraction and symbolism. Oscar Kacharov’s paintings are bright, often with discord paints creating a polyphony of rhythm and colors similar to chords of modern music. The logic result of the artist’s  persistent experiments and  searches is  his original “system of ten colors”.

Oscar Kacharov has been a frequent participator of group Moscow, regional, Russian and international exhibitions. His solo exhibitions were held in Russia, Georgia, Israel, Great Britain, United Arab Emirates.
