Paintings by Vasili Bubnov Are on Display in Exhibition Halls of the Russian Academy of Arts

     December 18, 2007 through January 8, 2008.  The Russian Academy of Arts presents a solo exhibition of works by the noted Moscow artist, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of Russia Vasili Bubnov.
     Organized to celebrate the painter’s 65th birth anniversary and the 40th anniversary of his creative activity, the exhibition features a retrospective of his work. Vasili  Bubnov is an artist of Russian national mentality. A recognized master of landscapes, he has been painting riches of the nature world which is for him a true creative workshop. “You should be and paint in such places where you are enchanted with the beauty of the nature which inspires your work”- says Vasili Bubnov.
     The display also includes a cycle of his works dedicated to Moscow and its nearby towns.
     Since 1966 for many decades Vasili Bubnov has headed the Moscow Artists’ Union. In 2003 he was awarded a medal “For Services to Motherland” 2nd rank.  
     Vasili Bubnov’s landscapes are in museum and private collections in Russia and other countries. Since 1967, his solo exhibitions have been held in many cities of Russia and in various exhibition halls of Moscow.
