From September 18 till October 09, 2014 Nadya Brykina Gallery in Zurich hosts a solo show of the People’s Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli.
The exhibition presents almost 50 paintings and graphic works produced by the artist for the last decade. Reality and fantasy closely intertwined in Tsereteli’s canvases are moving in various spaces to generate a new world of unexpected emotions. The artist is in constant search of new compositional and color variations, unusual correlations of color and volume. Of major interest are his graphic sheets from the series “My Album” executed in his original technique of black and white serigraphy.
The artist is internationally recognized and world known for his monumental sculptures, his numerous solo shows have been held in France (Paris), USA (New York), Italy (Palermo, Rome, Ancona), Turkey (Istanbul), Australia ( Brisbane), China (Harbin), Bulgaria (Plovdiv), Georgia (Tbilisi) and other countries. The exhibition in Zurich is a rare opportunity for viewers in Switzerland to see his unrivaled easel paintings and graphic works.
